Refill Chichester launch – water bottle refill scheme
Wednesday, 23 January  2019 at 17:30 for 18:00
The Assembly Rooms,The Council House, North St, Chichester

Refill Chichester is on a mission to make refilling your water bottle as easy, convenient and cheap as possible, by introducing Refill Stations on every street in Chichester city centre. We encourage participating cafes, bars, restaurants, galleries, museums and other businesses to sign up to the free Refill app and put a sticker in their window alerting passers-by to the fact they’re welcome to fill up their water bottle for free.

City to Sea, a not-for-profit organisation, launched the award-winning Refill Scheme in 2015. It’s estimated that the scheme, now being rolled out nationwide with support from Water UK and local water companies, will cut plastic bottle use by tens of millions each year, as well as substantially increasing the availability of high quality drinking water.

We will have a range of informative speakers, including the inspirational Nicola Peel who has led practical schemes for dealing with the plastic waste problem in the Ecuadorean Amazon.  There will be information and sales stalls from appropriate local organisations and businesses.

With thanks to Chichester City Council for kindly providing our venue and to
Transition Chichester for their endorsement.

The Refill app is available on all smartphones.
