Our Chichester Climate Change Group C3G had its origins in the Chichester u3a Climate Change Group. The new group is focused on Climate Change Adaptation in the Chichester District. A group will continue to operate within u3a Chichester to discuss global climate change issues.
Our first public meeting of C3G was on Feb 7th 2024 and focused on Flooding and Adaptation in the parishes surrounding Chichester. This was followed by the Adapting to the Climate Event on the 15th October. This site contains records of both meetings.
On Wednesday 19th February we have a key event on LOCAL COASTAL MANAGEMENT.
2pm to 4pm at the Friends Meeting House, Priory Road Chichester.
Speakers: Dr Jill Sutcliffe and Dr Carolyn Cobbold.
With decades of experience, Jill and Carolyn will share their expert insights and how new legislation will affect the future. Jill will explain how the Manhood Peninsula has led an innovative approach over the last 25 years but there are still key challenges not the least from the government’s approach to the imposition of housing numbers affecting these areas.
This is a unique opportunity to hear from top professionals in the field!
