Inaugural meeting of the TCC Apple group 11th May

by Jan Davis May 13, 2025 No Comments

Side by side with the Orchard Group that has been lovingly tending the trees in the TCC orchards since 2012, the newly formed Apple Group is specifically about making the most of the harvest.

Eleven of us met for an orchard picnic among the trees that are now beautifully grown, and each year offering a larger quantity of bounty,

The intention is to gather as many hands-on-deck as possible to join in at harvest time with a plan for what fruit will be ready to pick at what time.  Ideas were shared about people and organisations to contact and the ways the harvest can be used and shared, in addition to and including Juicing.   Some thoughts were offered on making chutney and crumbles and sharing the crop among the community especially anyone lending a hand.

Any suggestions and offers of help are welcome, so please do get in touch.
