Thank you for contacting our Director General, Hilary McGrady. I’m responding on her behalf. I’m sorry for the delay in responding, this is due to recent absence in our small team.
Thank you for sharing your positive feedback on the summer magazine. I’m glad you found our approach to climate adaptation encouraging and forward-looking.
It’s great to hear about the screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing that you organised in Chichester – it sounds like a very impactful event.
We absolutely support and stand behind the issues raised in the People’s Emergency Briefing. Addressing climate change is a key priority for us, and we continue to pursue our ‘Net Zero by 2030’ ambitions. This includes helping our members and visitors better understand the challenges we face, as well as the actions needed, through the stories we share across our places.
In terms of the film specifically, our current approach has been to encourage internal screenings for National Trust staff and volunteers. At present, we don’t have a structured or nationally coordinated programme for public screenings within our properties.
That said, we really value your suggestion and the spirit behind it. Raising awareness and encouraging conversation around climate action remains incredibly important, and it’s great to see members like yourself playing such an active role in this space.
