4 December 2024 – Green Energy – “From the National to the Local”

Agenda

  1. Introduction
  2. Projected growth in generation towards net zero. Note there will be a paper on the website which you can read and download.  I don’t envisage much discussion on this issue but please read the paper beforehand as it gives good background to the next 2 parts of the meeting.
  3. NESO Green Power and The Grid . Jan Davies will give a presentation on NESO’s Plans (National Energy System Operator). This body was transferred into public ownership on 1st October as part of a new more strategic approach, which will aim to deliver clean power by 2030 using the National Grid and the gas pipeline networks.
  4. Local Solar Generation.  Tom Broughton will present a focus on local solar generation, particularly at South Mundham.
  5. AOB
