Saturday 13 July 2019
2pm – 4:30pm
New Park Centre
Born out of a passion for recycling and reusing and the love of finding a bargain, this simple idea is one of Transition Chichester’s big successes. There are no rules to our quarterly Swap Shops and no money changes hands. It is all about finding new homes for unwanted clutter and keeping stuff out of landfill. People bring whatever they want to bring to our events, held in various venues around the city, and take away as much as they like – all for free! A Fairtrade cafe, with home-made cakes and bread, and soup from surplus veg, adds to the enjoyment.

Following is a message from Sue:
Hi swap shoppers,
I hope you can devote a few hours to helping out at the next Swap Shop on Saturday, July 13.
Please note there is a different time and venue – it is at the Jubilee Hall, next to New Park cinema, from 2pm to 4.30pm.
Inspired by the success of our Swap Shop showcase at Easter’s Good Life Show at the Weald and Downland museum, and to help make things more manageable, there will be a limit on donated items this time of SIX per person. Please spread the word.
We will be introducing a Kids’ Corner too, with toys, books, games and clothing, and space to play. Please encourage any little ones you know to become junior swappers!
It would be nice to offer cream teas as it is an afternoon event, so offers of scone making or donations of home-made jam would be very much appreciated.
Please let Jennie know asap at email@example.com
See you there!
